Projects 2011

No set amount of projects this year. Didn't quite make the 52 projects last year. I do have quite a bit of projects slated though. A sampling: Cowl, ponytail beanie, leg warmers, socks (yes, socks!), a vintage sweater, as well as creating projects to sell. I will be attempting all of this while taking more master's classes. I will be starting seeds for the garden, redoing some pieces of furniture I have laying around, and installing tile in my kitchen and dining area. Whew! I'm tired all ready!

Small Coffee Cozy

I attempted this coffee cozy again but a smaller size and different yarn. The different yarn made this one a lot smaller and tighter. I made this pattern with 8 less rows but doesn't have enough stretch to it. It may not fit all coffee cups. *Update* It fits the coffee cups at Panera very nicely!

Quick Cabled Cowl

I should have looked for the quick projects prior to the last week before the year. There are some really cute and simple things. This cowl is adorable. The example in the pattern was made in lime green with purple buttons. I might have to make more. I did modify this pattern since I didn't have enough yardage according to the pattern and when I was using size 7 needles with super bulky, it was really tight. This was made with 20 yards less yarn and size 17 needles.

More pincushions...

Another triangle pincushion. I like how this pattern turned out. I like it better than the circle. Circles are hard to get so they actually look round. The dark jean material is the same fabric as my mom's garden tote, as noted here.

50 Projects in 2010 - Update

Well if anyone is keeping track I probably won't make the 50 projects in 2010. I should have labeled it "50 projects in 52 weeks". Then I would have until January 26th to finish up. As noted by the first project here. I still have some projects to finish up for the year so let's see how close I come! Next year will be another challenge!

Coffee Cozy

Another quick project. Trying to make my goal before the end of the year. I probably won't make it but I'm getting close! Pictures are with a flash and without. Color is closer to the flash picture.

Corrie's Circle Pincushion

So this is for Corrie. For those keeping track (Corrie), it does match the garden tote I made for her. Corrie gave me some dried lavendar many moons ago and I stuffed this with some of it. I promised her a pincushion if she gave me some lavendar. I never said WHEN, though! LOL

Lime Green Fingerless Gloves

This yarn was on sale at The Outlet and had no label. I wish I knew what it was. I love it! It is very soft!

Dad's Fingerless Gloves

Yes, I think everybody I know has a pair by now. Not sure how I feel about this yarn. If the ply lost it's twist, the yarn pulled apart very easily. Not fun to cast on!

Plum Fingerless Gloves

This yarn was not labeled when I bought it at The Outlet. It is pretty soft though. I finished a glove earlier but I'm not sure where it is right now. Hopefully I don't have to re-knit it.
