Bizarre Bazaar 2013

Saturday, June 22, 2013 @
Eastown District on Wealthy

The weather turned out fabulous! You just never know with outdoor events. It was supposed to thunderstorm around 9 am when it started and around 2pm but it never came. The sun was shining and I actually got sunburn!

Sales were good. I have 2 issues with this outdoor venue (I also did the Eastown Street Fair last year): the wi-fi is completely sporadic. My phone goes from 3G, to extended, and searching for a signal without even moving. And after show loading is not organized and everyone wants to bring their vehicles in at the same time.

Sold these bags at Biz Baz.

Sold!

Also sold a bear! Stay tuned for more of Marilyn's Bear Factory!

I would love to do this show again!

Recycled Art Market 2012

Saturday, November 3, 2012 @
City High School

Another great event organized by Right Brain Events! The attendance was down about 100 people from last year but still a great turn out. There were about 5 other craft shows in the area that day. I really enjoy vending at this market since all of the crafts must be at least 50% recycled. Although sales and attendance was down (and cost of the booth went up), I will do this again next year!

ArtPrize Artisan Market

Saturday, September 29, 2012 @
City Flats Hotel Ballroom

Organized by Right Brain Events, this pop up market was right in the heart of ArtPrize at the City Flats Hotel Ballroom on Monroe Center. The Ballroom just opened the week before. This was a great location and I can't wait for another pop up market to happen!

Eastown Street Fair 2012

Saturday, September 15, 2012 @
Eastown District on Wealthy

What a beautiful day! The weather was perfect for an outdoor sale! The day was a little long but totally worth it. I will definitely do this show again. Lots of vendors and organizations. Great people watching in Eastown. Sometimes the music was a little loud but there were a lot of great bands all day. We wrapped up around 8:30pm. Once the sun went down, nobody bought anything since it was too dark to see. No electricity. I had no Wi-Fi either! Who would have thought that in Eastown?!? Thanks to my gracious crafty neighbor, Hippie Chick candles for opening a hotspot!

Shoreline Summer Swap Meet

Saturday, August 25, 2012 @
L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon

My new clothing rack for display

I finished knitting this at the show!
My review of this venue: This was the first year for the Shoreline Summer Swap Meet in Muskegon. The hours were 12pm to 7pm. I do not live in Muskegon but I don't feel that the advertising for this was all that great. The combination of the garage sale items, vendors, and crafts in the same venue does not make sense. I will not be doing this show again, at least with my crafts.
